Rich Snippets Test: Which Results Can Your Page Get?
A rich snippets tool tells you which enhanced results a page is eligible for — review stars, product prices, breadcrumbs, recipes, events, videos — based on its structured data. Enter a URL to see each result type the markup targets, what's missing to qualify and which types Google no longer shows.
Eligibility is computed from the JSON-LD in your live HTML and the required properties in Google's documentation for each feature. Free, no signup. Updated Oct 24, 2026 by the AEOeye team.
Rich Snippets Tool: Eligibility by Result Type
Rich results are tied to specific schema types, and each type has its own required properties in Google's search gallery. The test groups your markup by the result it targets and marks it eligible, missing properties, or retired.
| Result | Type | Commonly missing |
|---|---|---|
| Review stars | AggregateRating / Review | ratingCount or itemReviewed |
| Product price | Product + Offer | price, priceCurrency |
| Breadcrumb trail | BreadcrumbList | itemListElement |
| Recipe card | Recipe | image |
| Event listing | Event | location, startDate |
| Video | VideoObject | thumbnailUrl, uploadDate |

Rich Snippets Checker: Why Google Ignores Valid Markup
Because eligible isn't the same as shown. Google says it doesn't guarantee rich results even for correct markup. The usual reasons:
- the marked-up content isn't visible on the page;
- the markup breaks a policy, such as self-serving reviews on your own business;
- the feature isn't shown for that query or region;
- the site or page isn't considered high enough quality.
Which rich results are gone?
More than most guides admit. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results on May 7, 2026, and earlier removed HowTo, sitelinks search box, Course info, Estimated salary, Learning video, Special announcement and Vehicle listing, with Practice problem and Dataset phased out after that (Search Central updates).
We flag these as retired instead of letting you chase them. In our October 2026 analysis of 315 big-brand homepages (dataset), 11.1% still carried FAQPage markup five months after the feature ended.

FAQ
What is the difference between rich snippets and rich results?
+
Rich snippets is the older name for enhanced listings like review stars. Google now calls the whole family rich results, which also covers carousels, event listings and other visual features.
How long until rich results appear after adding schema?
+
Only after Google recrawls the page and processes the markup, usually days to weeks. Even then, eligibility doesn't guarantee display.
Can I get review stars for my own business?
+
Not for reviews you control about your own business on your own site — Google calls those self-serving and doesn't show stars for them in LocalBusiness and Organization markup.
