The short answer

The best Evertune alternative depends on why you are leaving. For a one-time check, use AEOeye (free, then $29). For cheap daily tracking, Otterly.AI starts at $29 a month and Peec AI at $95. AthenaHQ has a free plan and Profound a 7-day trial. Evertune's Pro plan is listed at $800 a month (as of October 2026) and stays right for repeatedly sampled, enterprise-grade tracking with ads.

This guide is based on public documentation as of October 2026: Evertune's pricing and platform pages and each alternative's own pricing page, all read on 3 October 2026. We have not tested Evertune or the other tools hands-on. AEOeye is our product, so it is listed with its limits.

We took the reasons to leave from Evertune's own pages, not from forum complaints. We do not repeat the $3,000-a-month figure older write-ups quote: Evertune's pages list Pro at $800 and Enterprise as custom.

Why do people look for an Evertune alternative?

Three things on Evertune's own pages push buyers elsewhere: a demo-only entry at $800 a month, a bundle that includes content and advertising you may not need, and a target customer that is mid-market or larger. None says the product is weak. They say it is priced and sold for a specific buyer.

  • Demo-only, with an $800 floor. Its pricing page lists Pro at $800 a month and Enterprise as custom, and both buttons say "Request a demo". At list price, a year of Pro is $9,600 (our arithmetic). We found no trial and no billing terms on the page.
  • A bundle, not a meter. Pro includes 25 AI-optimized articles a month, affiliate advertising partnerships and AI Retargeting, which Evertune's Advertise page offers as a beta. If you only want to know whether AI names you, you are paying for the rest.
  • Built for mid-market and up. Pro is labelled "for mid-market brands", and Evertune's company page says it works with mid-market and enterprise brands. A small team is probably outside that picture.

Which alternatives fit which need?

Match the tool to the job: a one-off check (AEOeye), cheap daily tracking (Otterly.AI, Peec AI), a free start with more engines (AthenaHQ), or an enterprise tracker (Profound). The table after these sections compares entry prices; the notes below say who each tool is for. Prices are list prices as of October 2026, on monthly billing where the vendor states it.

  • AEOeye: a one-off check, not a tracker. The free audit asks ChatGPT three unbranded buyer questions and shows the full answers, the competitors named and starter fixes. The $29 one-time report adds Claude, Gemini, Google AI and Perplexity, ten questions, a five-layer SEO foundation audit and a fix roadmap as a PDF. There is no subscription and no daily tracking.
  • Otterly.AI: the cheapest self-serve tracking. Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, with Claude, AI Mode and Gemini as add-ons. Standard is $189 for 100 prompts, and a free trial is offered. Fifteen prompts is a narrow sample, so treat Lite as a pulse check.
  • Peec AI: the middle tier. Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts on 3 models you choose, tracked daily with unlimited users. Pro is $245 for 150 prompts and Advanced $495 for 350. It also lists a crawlability audit covering 40+ AI bots.
  • AthenaHQ: a free start, then credits. Its free plan gives $25 of credit (300 credits) across five engines. Starter is $295 a month for 3,600 credits and 11 models; one credit is one AI response.
  • Profound: an enterprise tracker with a trial. Its trial is free for 7 days with 50 prompts run daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Beyond that, Enterprise is custom, with up to 9 engines, SSO/SAML and SOC 2. It is the closest like-for-like to Evertune's sales model.

How do you compare prices across these tools fairly?

Compare cost per answer, not per prompt, because vendors define a prompt differently. Peec defines monthly AI answers as prompts times models times frequency, and AthenaHQ sells credits where one credit is one response. Evertune asks each prompt up to 100 times, so its prompt is a different unit.

Worked from the vendors' own numbers (our arithmetic): Peec Starter lists 4,500 monthly AI answers for $95, about 2 cents each. AthenaHQ Starter gives 3,600 responses for $295, about 8 cents each. Evertune's page does not say whether its 100,000 prompts count prompts or sampled responses, so ask.

Before paying anyone, ask four questions:

  1. What does one "prompt" count? One question on one engine, or on all of them?
  2. How many times is each prompt run? SparkToro's study found AI brand lists rarely repeat and advised asking at least 60 to 100 times and averaging. The cheaper tools sell daily tracking, but their pages state no repeat count.
  3. Which model tier is queried? Free-user defaults and top-tier models give different answers. AEOeye tests each engine at the default tier a free user sees.
  4. Can AI read the vendor's own site? In AEOeye's crawler access study we checked 43 AI-visibility vendor sites. None blocked an AI crawler, 27 of 41 that we could check served llms.txt, and 18 of 42 had FAQPage markup on the homepage (AEOeye included). See the study hub.

What does Evertune cost, for reference?

As of October 2026, Evertune lists two plans: Pro at $800 a month and Enterprise at custom pricing. Both are sold through a demo request, so the pricing page is the only public number. Our cost explainer covers it in more depth.

  • Pro, $800 a month: 100,000 prompts tracked across 11 AI models, daily, weekly or monthly tracking, global language and country tracking, 25 AI-optimized articles a month, three onboarding sessions, affiliate advertising partnerships and AI Retargeting.
  • Enterprise, custom: everything in Pro plus a dedicated AI Success Manager, customized onboarding, deep category analysis, unlimited content generation, AI website optimization, AI bot analytics for your domain and SSO.

Not stated publicly: contract length, whether a trial exists, and which plan includes Site Audit. For a head-to-head with a one-off audit, see AEOeye vs Evertune.

When is Evertune still the right choice?

Evertune is still the right choice when you need repeatedly sampled data, real-user prompt sourcing and action tools in one place, and you can fund it. That describes a mid-market or enterprise team treating AI search as a channel, not a team checking once.

  • You will decide by topic. In Evertune's own experiment (running shoes, July 2026), asking 100 prompts once gave ±9 points overall but ±31 points on a 10-response topic. Asking each 100 times cut those to ±1 and ±2. The figures are consistent with the standard formula, and they matter only if you will move budget between topics.
  • You want ads tied to visibility. Evertune sells ChatGPT ad campaigns inside the platform, and by its own account is the first GEO platform to turn visibility data into paid reach. Confirm whether the others offer it.
  • You need enterprise controls. Pro adds onboarding sessions, and Enterprise adds a dedicated manager and SSO. Profound also lists SSO and SOC 2.
  • You would use the content tools. If you will publish the 25 monthly articles, Pro may cost less than buying drafting separately. We have not priced that.

Our view: if you would only read dashboards, buy cheaper. If you will use the sampling, content and ads, the price is easier to defend. Either way, run the free audit first so you know what you are paying to change.

Key takeaways

  • Evertune's own pages explain why people leave: demo-only entry, an $800-a-month Pro floor, a content-and-ads bundle, and a mid-market-and-up focus.
  • Cheaper options: Otterly.AI from $29 a month, Peec AI from $95, AthenaHQ with a free plan, Profound with a 7-day trial, and AEOeye for a one-off check.
  • Compare cost per answer, not per prompt: Peec Starter works out near 2 cents an answer and AthenaHQ Starter near 8 cents, on their own figures.
  • Evertune stays right for teams that need repeatedly sampled, topic-level data, content tools and ads, and can fund them.

FAQ

What is the best free alternative to Evertune?+

It depends on the job. AEOeye's free audit asks ChatGPT three unbranded buyer questions and shows the real answers and competitors. AthenaHQ has a free plan with $25 of credit (300 credits), and Profound offers a free 7-day trial. None of these gives always-on tracking for free; they let you look before you pay.

What is the cheapest Evertune alternative?+

For tracking, Otterly.AI's Lite plan is $29 a month for 15 prompts on monthly billing (as of October 2026), with Peec AI starting at $95 for 50 prompts. AEOeye's $29 report is one-time rather than monthly, so it answers a different question: what AI says about you today.

Does Evertune have a free trial?+

None is shown on its pricing page as of 3 October 2026; both plans lead to a demo request, and billing terms are not stated. That is a reading of public documentation, not hands-on use. If you want to try something before paying, AthenaHQ has a free plan, Profound a 7-day trial, and Otterly.AI and Peec AI offer free trials.

Is Evertune worth $800 a month?+

Whether it is worth it depends on use. Pro bundles 100,000 tracked prompts across 11 models, 25 AI-optimized articles a month and advertising partnerships. If your team will act on topic-level data and use those tools, the bundle can make sense. If you only want to know whether AI names your brand, a cheaper tracker or a one-time audit fits better.

What does Evertune do that cheaper tools do not?+

By its own pages, Evertune samples each prompt up to 100 times per model, builds prompts from a panel of over 150 million real conversations, separates base-model from live-search results, and runs ChatGPT ads. Cheaper tools publish daily tracking but state no repeat count. Verify each claim in a demo before relying on it.
