BrightEdge AI Catalyst has no public dollar price on the official product and pricing pages checked October 5, 2026. BrightEdge directs buyers to sales. Treat the current offer as quote-only: currency, regional taxes, billing term, included prompts and additional usage charges are not specified there. Do not turn an old enterprise SEO estimate into a current AI Catalyst price. Official pricing route.

Our position: existing BrightEdge customers should investigate their entitlement before buying another tracker; new customers should evaluate the cost of the whole platform they are actually being offered. This is a documentation-based buyer guide. We have not tested a licensed AI Catalyst account, negotiated a quote, or verified the accuracy of its visibility measurements.

Is AI Catalyst included in BrightEdge, or sold separately?

There is a public history of AI Catalyst being offered within BrightEdge's SEO platform, but that does not establish your current contract's price or limits. The launch announcement says it was available to all customers. Obtain written confirmation of your edition and capacity before treating “included” as “unlimited” or “free.” Launch announcement.

The current AI Catalyst page emphasizes product capabilities and a demo request. It does not supply a self-serve price table. That distinction matters when an older article confidently quotes a monthly starting price or says all models are included without qualification.

Your situation What to request What not to assume
Already licensed Current entitlement and incremental quote Existing SEO access covers every AI option
Renewing a contract Same-scope renewal and expanded-scope renewal Any price increase is caused only by AI
New customer Complete platform quote with AI schedule A standalone tracker price exists
Agency or multiple brands Client, domain and export conditions One subscription covers every client

Save the product description with the dated order form. A sales presentation may describe a roadmap or a broader edition; the document should name the capabilities and allowances your payment actually buys.

What does AI Catalyst measure?

BrightEdge describes separate brand mentions, citations, sentiment and competitive presence across multiple AI surfaces, including ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI experiences. It also describes prompt discovery and recommendations based on competitor content. These are vendor capability statements, not findings from our own product trial. Current product overview.

That separation is useful because “we appeared” is not one outcome. Your brand could be named without a link, cited without being recommended, or described unfavorably while gaining mentions. If your objective is qualified demand, a chart that merges those outcomes can send your team toward the wrong fix.

Ask for one example of each outcome and the full supporting answer. Have a colleague classify those examples without seeing the dashboard's labels, then compare interpretations. Disagreement is not automatically a product defect; it identifies a definition that needs to be settled before an executive report is built around it.

For definitions to use in that conversation, see our brand recommendation measurement guide and citation evaluation guide. A procurement evaluation should establish how the labels work, not simply confirm that the interface contains them.

How should you size an AI Catalyst quote?

Specify the observation schedule and business scope, then ask BrightEdge to map that workload to its actual commercial units. Do not assume that a prompt slot includes every engine, region and refresh forever. The public pages do not provide enough unit pricing to calculate a real invoice.

An illustrative requirement might be two brands, twenty buyer questions per brand, three engines and four weekly observations. That is 2 × 20 × 3 × 4 = 480 answer observations in a four-week planning period. A daily 30-day schedule would be 3,600, or 7.5 times as many observations.

This arithmetic does not imply that the daily quote costs 7.5 times more. It gives sales a precise workload to price and gives you a way to notice when two proposals cover different amounts of evidence. Model availability and geographical coverage should be listed alongside it.

Ask for three totals: the current scope, the same scope with one additional market, and the same scope with twice as many questions. Separating those changes makes expansion costs understandable. If every scenario receives the same quote, ask what ceiling eventually triggers an upgrade rather than assuming there is none.

What should a useful demo prove?

A useful demo should turn one observed competitor advantage into a reviewable task. BrightEdge says its reporting can connect citations to competitor pages and export tables to CSV; ask to see that complete path on a question relevant to your business. Reporting and recommendations.

Start with a question that your product could reasonably answer. Inspect the selected engine and the response timestamp. Open the cited competitor page, identify the passage that supports the answer, and compare the corresponding information on your own site. Ask the presenter to explain the specific improvement suggested by the product.

A recommendation such as “add pricing information” should survive a basic challenge: perhaps your pricing is already public, but the cited page explains a buying constraint you omit. A useful tool helps uncover that distinction. A generic instruction repeated across unrelated pages is less valuable, even if it appears beside an impressive score.

Finally, export the evidence and ask a person outside the demo to follow it. Missing URLs, absent timestamps or unexplained model labels create future reporting debt. Make the export sample part of the acceptance criteria, not an optional item after the contract is signed.

How can an existing customer avoid paying twice?

Compare incremental cost and actual workflow coverage before purchasing a second platform. A dedicated tracker may still be justified if it supplies an essential engine, transparent collection method or export capability your current arrangement lacks. The reason should be a concrete gap rather than an attractive demonstration.

List the recurring decisions your team makes: which comparison page to improve, which inaccurate claim to correct, which citation source to investigate, and whether a change persisted. Assign each decision to one primary source of evidence. Two dashboards with incompatible denominators can create more reconciliation work than insight.

Conductor's AI Search buying guide shows why annual credits need normalization. Authoritas's pricing guide shows how monthly model weights and overage can affect a narrower tracker budget. Use both as contrasting commercial structures, not as proof that either vendor is more accurate or universally cheaper.

If the platform is already paid for, a controlled evaluation of the existing entitlement is often the most informative next step. Record what it cannot do before paying a second vendor to repeat what it already does.

When is the platform a sensible purchase?

It is a sensible candidate when the organization already runs a substantial search program and wants AI evidence inside that team's operating workflow. It is harder to justify when nobody owns content changes or the business only needs a first visibility check.

AEOeye's crawler access study found that only 1 of 193 sampled SaaS sites blocked any AI retrieval bot at the homepage through robots.txt. The sample was selected by AEOeye, measured once, and cannot see all CDN restrictions. It does not evaluate BrightEdge. It reminds buyers that a missing recommendation can require content and source work, not just another technical dashboard.

Use the AEO audit checklist to name your actual gap. For a first snapshot, the AEOeye audit can help frame the questions you later monitor. It is not a recurring BrightEdge replacement and does not guarantee citations.

The buying decision comes down to a dated quote, a useful evidence export, and an owner for the resulting work. Without those, a bundled feature can remain unused; with them, the value can extend beyond a standalone mention count.

FAQ

How much does BrightEdge AI Catalyst cost?+

The official product and pricing pages checked October 5, 2026 do not publish a dollar amount. Ask sales for a quote covering your edition, observation schedule, markets, billing term, currency and implementation requirements.

Is AI Catalyst free for existing BrightEdge customers?+

The launch announcement said it was available to all customers, but that does not verify a current account entitlement or unlimited capacity. Ask for the incremental price and included usage under your actual contract.

Can I buy AI Catalyst as a standalone tracker?+

The public pages checked do not establish a standalone self-serve price. Ask BrightEdge to identify the precise package being quoted and whether a separate purchase is available for your requirements.

Does this guide compare measured tracking accuracy?+

No. AEOeye has not used a licensed AI Catalyst account or run a comparative benchmark. The guide separates vendor descriptions from proposed acceptance checks and from our own unrelated crawler study.
